I have discovered that the days of parents wanting to load their kids up in the family car and fighting the mall traffic to make their 30-minute time slot in a stuffy studio appear to be in the rear view mirror. I have a fresh, personable, take on family and child photography. I'll bring the shot to you! I have taken pictures at ballparks, historic homes, parks, waterfront, old barns, and many other unique locations. If your child needs to "burn off some energy," I'll let him/her run around while I focus on their sibling. We all know kids have a short attention span and that they tend to photograph better when they're content. My approach is to foster an atmosphere where your child is happy and content. My experience is that soon to be graduates have two goals. They want to incorporate something, whether it be a look or location, into their photo shoot that their friends haven't done. Next, they want their photos to showcase their personality. In order to reach these two goals, I really rely on my clients to let me know where and how their session should be done. I offer suggestions after getting to know the client, but ultimately they have the final say. It is possible to get fun photographs without breaking mom and dad's budget!!
